At Axidian, we’ve always believed in the power of meaningful connections within the cybersecurity community — and GITEX 2024 was no exception. As a key player in the field of identity security, we couldn’t pass up the chance to showcase our latest innovations and particularly our ITDR solution, Axidian Shield.

Held in the UAE — where we’re proudly based — GITEX 2024 provided us with the perfect platform to connect with industry leaders, share our expertise in identity security, and further our mission of creating a more secure digital future.

In this article, we’ll reflect on our experience at the event, share key takeaways, highlight the collaborations and connections we made, and discuss what we hoped to achieve and what we’re excited to bring to future events. Let’s dive in!

Key Insights from the Axidian Shield Presentation

At GITEX 2024, Axidian had a clear goal: to introduce our latest innovation, Axidian Shield, to the world. As a part of our presentation, we dove into the evolving cybersecurity landscape, shedding light on the growing challenges organizations face. More importantly, we demonstrated how Axidian Shield, our new Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) solution, is here to tackle these very challenges.

Throughout two days of presentations at our stand, the cybersecurity community’s response was overwhelmingly positive, particularly when discussing the current and looming challenges in the field. It’s clear that these issues impact organizations across industries, making it more crucial than ever to have robust identity security solutions in place.

We highlighted some crucial data points from Verizon’s Data Breach Investigations Report that resonated with our audience:

  • 68% of breaches involve the human element – a startling statistic that shows how crucial it is to safeguard user credentials.
  • 15% of breaches involve a third party – demonstrating the need for comprehensive security that spans beyond internal networks.
  • 40% of attacks target credentials – underlining the importance of securing user identities to prevent unauthorized access.

The Power of Zero Trust and the Role of Axidian Shield

Discussions about the Zero Trust model were particularly thought-provoking. Nowadays many companies try to implement this concept but face constant challenges. We conducted our own research among 100 companies and received feedback that 25% of them started Zero Trust implementation. However, none of them could fully comply with it due to the lack of automation. Automation is critical for its adoption because managing a Zero Trust architecture manually is nearly impossible at scale.

ITDR enhances Zero Trust deployment through robust automation. It detects and responds to threats in real time, enforces multi-factor authentication, and continuously monitors user and device behavior. Its seamless integration with systems automates threat response across the security stack, while policy-based controls ensure consistent enforcement without human error. With agentless deployment and protection for legacy systems, Axidian Shield simplifies Zero Trust adoption, enabling efficient and scalable security automation.

Strengthening Partnerships and Expanding Identity Security Reach

At GITEX 2024, Axidian had the opportunity to reconnect with trusted partners and forge new relationships in the cybersecurity industry. We were thrilled to engage with our longstanding partners, including RP Tech, SPG, vMind, GBS, Simpra, and NGN International, who share our commitment to advancing cybersecurity solutions.

The event also allowed us to meet an impressive group of cybersecurity leaders — CISOs, CTOs, senior cybersecurity specialists, and VPs from government agencies, BFSI, and FMCG sectors across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and several African countries.

Our discussions centered around the latest trends and security needs in identity management. We saw a strong interest in ITDR. Many of these professionals recognized the importance of strengthening their identity security frameworks, and we’re excited to continue those conversations.

As a result, we’re now in advanced talks and actively progressing towards Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with several customers. We’re also in the process of finalizing new strategic partnerships that will help us bring Axidian’s identity security solutions to even more organizations.

Axidian Academy: Paving the Way for Future Cybersecurity Experts at GITEX 2024

On the final day of GITEX 2024, Axidian took the opportunity to engage with the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. We had the pleasure of hosting a group of enthusiastic students eager to explore the vast world of cybersecurity. A huge thank you to the University of Wollongong in Dubai and Heriot-Watt University Dubai for partnering with us and providing this incredible opportunity to connect with these curious and talented minds.

During our session, we tackled the current challenges in IT security, dove into emerging trends, and explored the most in-demand cybersecurity roles for the year ahead. The conversation was not only insightful but also engaging, and we were thrilled to offer valuable insights to help shape their future careers.

This session is just the beginning of our journey with the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. It marks the first step in our vision to establish Axidian Academy — a platform dedicated to spreading knowledge and expertise in identity security to all.

At Axidian, we believe in going beyond just providing software solutions. We’re committed to offering a full experience — starting with training, moving through seamless implementation of our solutions, and providing ongoing support every step of the way.

Team impressions

We asked our team to share their thoughts on the event — here’s what they had to say!

What were your overall impressions of GITEX 2024? How did it compare to previous events?

  • Valeria Egorova: This was my first experience at GITEX, and it was absolutely outstanding. It’s a great event for relevant business communication and networking. GITEX offers a unique opportunity to create new business prospects and showcase new solutions and ideas, as we did. I was impressed by the interest in the launch of Axidian Shield (ITDR) during the event.

Can you describe the atmosphere and energy of the event? What stood out to you?

  • Kirill Bondarenko: The atmosphere was full of new opportunities. Vendors showcased new products, including us — Axidian. There were many interesting people, and many partners were looking for cooperation opportunities.

Can you share any memorable experiences from the event?

  • Anna Surovova: For us, the successful launch of our new ITDR product, Axidian Shield. It drew the attention of a large crowd of attendees. As well as the first workshop within Axidian Academy, which was arranged for students from UAE universities.

What insights did we gain from our interactions with other exhibitors or attendees?

  • Anna Surovova: I wouldn’t call it an insight, but an important fact is that companies are currently struggling to comply with the Zero Trust concept and are actively seeking the right tools and solutions. I’m very pleased that we’ve developed a full-stack Identity Security portfolio, including a new ITDR solution, that helps companies achieve compliance with the Zero Trust concept.

GITEX 2024 – A Step Forward in Axidian’s Cybersecurity Journey

GITEX 2024 was more than just an event for us — it was a fantastic opportunity to engage with industry leaders, connect with the cybersecurity community, and showcase our expertise on a global scale. Events like GITEX serve as a platform for us to demonstrate the value we bring to our customers and the cybersecurity space as a whole.

What excited us the most at GITEX was the immense interest and enthusiasm surrounding new identity security technologies including ITDR. The conversations we had reinforced that the path to a secure digital future is built on proactive, innovative solutions.

Our journey to securing the future of cybersecurity is just beginning, and we can’t wait to continue collaborating with experts, partners, and innovators to tackle the evolving challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.

Stay tuned for more updates from Axidian as we hit key regional events and share our insights. Together, we’ll make the future of cybersecurity stronger, safer, and smarter.
